1.0.0 · 28 October 2026
First public release.
- Detection — videos, audio files and HLS streams found automatically on the page you're watching, via network observation plus on-page media scanning. Manual rescan for pages that load media late.
- One-click downloads — direct files (MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, M4A, MP3, AAC, OGG, FLAC, WAV) saved straight to your Downloads.
- Stream capture — HLS streams assembled into a single playable file: quality picker, parallel segment fetching with automatic retries, AES-128 transport decryption, fMP4 and MPEG-TS support. Captures stream to disk, so multi-GB recordings use constant memory.
- Item details — duration and available qualities shown per stream; inline rename before saving; copy source URL.
- Recent downloads — a history of your last 50 saves, with one-click access to the downloads folder.
- Settings — dedicated settings view with plan status, license activation and About info.
- Honest limits — DRM-protected streams are detected and refused with a clear message instead of a broken download.
- Privacy — zero data collection. No analytics, no telemetry, no Vidtuck servers; everything runs locally in your browser.
- Premium — optional license ($9/year or $29 lifetime) removes the free tier's 3-captures-per-day and 720p limits.
